Terms and conditions

1) Communication Our mission is to create a Booking platform that makes private rental of holiday homes easy and manageable for both tenant and landlord. Skaven Strand Camping og sommerhusudlejning, by virtue of its booking portal, handles the mediating work in relation to the rental of summer houses on behalf of hosts and at their expense and risk. When you book a holiday home on our booking portal, an agreement is therefore entered into between you and the landlord for the selected period on the terms that appear in the notice on the booking portal. In addition, you and the lessor are given the rights and obligations that follow from these terms. We therefore assume no responsibility for any disputes between you and the host and do not involve ourselves in such. We are also not responsible for your or the host's compliance with the legislation in force at any time. 2) Use of the summer house The cottage may only be used for holiday purposes, unless otherwise agreed with the host, and no more people may stay than the stated maximum number, which includes children. Pets may only be brought if this is listed as permitted by the host on the Platform and it is also apparent from the rental agreement entered into, where you have actively stated that you will bring pets in connection with your booking. The summer house must be used in accordance with these terms and any guidelines that the host has adopted for the use of his summer house, if you have been informed of these in connection with your booking. If the summer house is used in violation of these terms and conditions, including the above-mentioned guidelines, the legislation in force at any time, to the detriment of the area's residents and guests, in violation of public order in general or for other than holiday purposes, the rental agreement entered into may without notice, and with immediate effect, be terminated by the host. The stated price, which is indicated prior to a booking inquiry, is based on a rental agreement with private individuals. 3) The condition and facilities of the cottage The summer houses in Skaven are privately owned and are furnished according to the host's personal style, taste and needs. The holiday homes are therefore not the same, just as their furnishings and equipment will vary. However, unless otherwise stated in the advertisement, a summer house will be equipped with:
  • stove, coffee machine, cutlery and cooking utensils as a minimum for the permitted number of people
  • basic items that the guest is allowed to use such as salt and pepper, spices and oil,
    washing-up liquid or /tabs (if the cottage has a dishwasher), garbage bags, hand soap, basic cleaning products and toilet paper
  • toilet, cold and hot water, hand shower/shower cabin and toilet paper
  • vacuum cleaner
  • heating source such as radiators or heat pump
  • beds, duvets and pillows
  • waste container or similar. As these are emptied continuously, it cannot be expected that the waste container will be empty on arrival.
The summer house can be equipped with other things than those mentioned above. If there is other equipment in the holiday home than what appears in the notice and above, including TV, washing machine, tumble dryer or dishwasher, which is not working, we cannot guarantee that the repair can take place during your stay. We would also like to point out that if, according to the advertisement, the summer house has a TV, it is not certain that TV channels or streaming services will be available to you. If the cottage has a wood-burning stove, there will be firewood that you can use for the first lighting, so you can get started on the holiday fun right from your arrival. If you want additional firewood, you must buy this yourself. If there is more firewood at the cottage than for the first kindling, it is the host's private property and may only be used if the host has given permission. Charging of electric cars is not permitted in the cottage for safety reasons, unless it has a charging stand set up for the purpose. The cottage will be clean at the time of arrival, but unfortunately the following may occur if the cottage has been empty for a shorter or longer period after cleaning:
  • there may be cobwebs in the cottage upon arrival, as it can quickly appear from hour to hour
  • it may smell damp and stuffy on arrival, which can be remedied by thoroughly airing it out, and then turning on the heating
  • the windows in the cottage may look dirty, and there may be sand, flies or the like on arrival, depending on wind and weather conditions.
If the aforementioned exceeds what can reasonably be expected, or the cleaning condition is otherwise unsatisfactory, a complaint can be made in accordance with point 6 below. 4) Terms of payment When your booking has been confirmed, a binding agreement has been entered into for the rental of the holiday home in question, via the chosen payment solution. The booking is confirmed when you receive a written confirmation via the email address you gave us in connection with your booking. If the rental amount is not paid on time, the payment conditions stated in the booking portal are adjusted. Will the rental agreement be cancelled. You can read more about the conditions for cancellation after payment has taken place in section 6 below. With some landlords, the price also includes final cleaning, so you don't have to spend the last day of the holiday cleaning. See more about cleaning under point 5. You can pay by card or bank transfer. Payment by account transfer is not covered by the objection scheme. If the payment of the 2nd installment is not made on time, the deposit is forfeited and the rental agreement is cancelled. Arrival and departure time Your booking confirmation shows arrival and departure times as well as information on when the summer house is ready to move into. Please be aware that it is not possible to gain access to the summer house earlier than agreed, just as the summer house must always be vacated no later than the time of departure. If late departure prevents a third-party cleaning service from performing their work, you as a guest will be charged 50% of the rent for the day started. Keys can be handed over on the day of arrival at Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning. If you arrive later than agreed, please agree this in writing to info@skaven.dk Cleaning You are obliged to keep the rented cottage clean to the usual extent and must leave a nicely cleaned cottage at the end of the tenancy. This entails, among other things, that you must:
  • do the dishes
  • empty dishwasher and fridge
  • remove hair and residues from domestic animals
  • remove ashes from stove
  • made beds
  • ensure tidying up in cupboards
  • empty dustbin, toilet bin and dispose of empty bottles/cans/glasses
  • clean garden furniture, put them in place and put cushions back
  • clean the grill
  • ensure general cleaning, as well as placement of furniture as it was on receipt.
If, contrary to expectations, the above is not complied with, any additional costs for clean-up and cleaning will be charged. 6) Complaints, errors and deficiencies At Skaven Strand Camping, we always strive to create the best possible holiday experience, and it is very important to us that you fulfill any expectations you may have for your holiday stay. If your expectations are not met, either on arrival at the holiday home or during your stay, you as a guest are obliged to contact us immediately, so that the host has the opportunity to improve any deficiencies that may arise. had to be. If you do not complain within a reasonable time, this may mean that your right to enforce the defective condition, including claims for full or partial repayment of the rent or compensation, expires. If you, as a guest, have a complaint, you are also obliged to inform Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhus udeljening about the conditions within a reasonable time. As a guest, you must send the necessary information to info@skaven.dk In the event of a complaint, we will contact the lessor, who is obliged to seek a complaint-worthy defect remedied within a reasonable time, unless the situation is due to your own circumstances. If the deficiency is not rectified, please contact Skaven Strand camping and Sommerhusudlejning as soon as possible and before the time of departure via the above-mentioned e-mail. A short processing time must be expected as a result of the evaluation for any complaints. As a guest, you are responsible to the host for any damage that you or your guests may cause during your stay at the holiday home, as well as its furnishings and movable property. Should damage occur in the cottage or lost keys, you must immediately notify Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning. Insurance is included in your stay. 7) Change, cancellation and cancellation There is no right of cancellation on the rental of summer houses at Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning, in addition to what follows from this section. When you make a booking via the booking portal, you accept and approve the applicable cancellation rules for the landlord in question as well as the landlord's other terms and guidelines that you have been informed about. As a service, we offer a 48-hour right of cancellation for bookings with arrival more than 72 hours into the future. The right of cancellation means that you can freely cancel your booking within 48 hours after you have received a confirmation of your booking and get a full refund, provided that the arrival time has not been exceeded. If you wish to cancel your purchase, this must be notified in writing to info@skaven.dk. The cancellation time is calculated from the time when Skaven Strand Camping og Sommerhusudlejning, has received the cancellation. If you wish to cancel your booking after the right of cancellation has expired, the applicable terms apply. The guest is free to cancel the booking up to 40 days before the arrival time and get a full refund. However, no administration fee of DKK 800. Would you like to change the dates of an existing booking Depending on the availability of the cottage, you may be able to change your booking if the landlord agrees. If you wish to extend, shorten or otherwise change your booking, please contact Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning. Please note that if your requested dates are not available, or if the host is unable to approve a date change, your original booking dates and the above cancellation terms will remain in effect. 8) Cancellation, force majeure and unusual events The lessor has the right to cancel the rental agreement if it turns out that the lessor and/or Skaven Strand camping og Sommerhusudlejning is prevented from making the summer house available in the event of force majeure. In the event of force majeure, you as a guest will be refunded the amount paid. Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning will, if possible, find an alternative house that the guest can rent. 9) Skaven Strand Camping and Summer House Rentals responsibility Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning mediates the rental of summer houses between the guest and the landlord. Skaven Strand Camping and summer rental is not a party to the rental agreement that you enter into with the landlord via our booking portal. It is the lessor and the guest who are responsible for fulfilling the agreed rental service. 10) Appeal option You have the opportunity to bring a possible dispute with the host of the Ankenævnet for holiday rental, Amagertorv 9, 2., DKK-1160 København K. Further information about the Ankenævnet can be found at www.ankenaevnferiehus.dk. Alternatively, the EU Commission's online complaint portal www.ec.europa.eu/odr is used when filing a complaint. 12) Data Protection When you create and use your user profile, we process certain personal data about you. We need the following information when you shop with us: Name, address, phone no. and email address. We register and pass on the information to the lessor if it is necessary for them to deliver the rental service to you. The personal information is registered with Skaven Strand Camping and Sommerhusudlejning and stored for five years, after which the information is deleted. We also collaborate with a number of other companies that store and process data. The companies only process information on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes. We only work with data processors in the EU or in countries that can provide your information with sufficient protection. You have the right to be informed about which information we process about you. If you believe that the information is inaccurate, you have the right to have it corrected. In some cases, we are obliged to delete your personal data if you ask for it. It can, for example, be if your data is no longer necessary in relation to the purpose for which we were to use it.
